WEGU GmbH, part of the globally operating WEGU Group, is a leading manufacturer of lightweight construction systems for the plastics processing sector in Germany and Slovakia. We develop and manufacture innovative injection moulded components for the automotive industry. In our highly automated production facilities, we manufacture components weighing 0.001 kg to 4.5 kg on machines with ratings from 600 kN to 32,000 kN in 1K, 2K and sandwich processes.
To ensure economical and process-reliable manufacturing of the products, we have, in our factory in Kassel, an immediate opening for a Setter (m/f/o).
Job description:
- Supervision of series production
- Setting up and starting up machines and plants according to the applicable work instructions
- Troubleshooting machine and plant malfunctions
- Monitoring and ensuring product quality and performance-relevant process parameters
- Carrying out and documenting in-process inspections
- Documentation of deviations and malfunctions in the process
- Intervention in the event of violations of the applicable work and process instructions
- Technical support of the machine operators and group spokespersons
- Responsibility for order and cleanliness
- Shift handover according to applicable work instructions
- Active exchange of information with the coordinators (m/f/o), the maintenance supervisor (m/f/o), the toolmaker (m/f/o) and the process optimiser (m/f/o)
- Involvement in compliance with regulations and standards, occupational safety, fire protection and environmental protection as well as quality management (work instructions and process instructions)
- Measures to save resources (material, energy, …) and to avoid wastage
- Active involvement in the standardisation of work processes
Requirements:
- Completed training as a process technician or comparable qualification
- Professional experience in plastics processing in the field of injection moulding is desirable
- Distinct quality and cost consciousness
- Good knowledge of the technologies, materials and processes used (machines, automation, tools, material handling, temperature control)
- Knowledge of SAP-R3, Excel and Windows is desirable
- Willingness and ability to pursue continuous further qualification
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Sense of responsibility
- Excellent ability to work in a team
- Independent, systematic and methodical way of workingPossession of a driver’s licence for industrial trucks (forklift licence) as well as a car driver’s licence are desirable
